    Details: Is their a way to prevent a set of members entering a specific part of the forum that is taken into account by their age?

    You know like when they enter that part, it says something like, "you are still not old enough to view this content" etc etc?.

    You can privatize the forum if you want to disable
    you can go to your

    General > Categories & Forum > Select Category then Check Permissions

    Yes, I'm aware of that however it doesn't restrict people of lower ages reading the content of the specific part of the forum... :/

    You can create a group for 18+ age above and check it only on that group .

    Btw does group have an option to automatically update members over 18 or is it just manually updated by ourselves?

    Indeed, what Red said is the best solution.

    Go to groups and create a group that has permissions to read and reply to the 18+ forum. The next part is going to be troublesome but you are going to have to add the 18+ members one by one into that group. I'd suggest a link in the forum description where they can apply for group access after which you add them to the group. Other than that, what's to stop them from lying about their age?
